Musical Theatre is a growing and challenging industry which requires highly skilled, well trained and versatile performers.
It requires people with a strong skill base in singing, acting and dancing and it is therefore incredibly important that training for the musical theatre stage should increase an individuals ability in all three disciplines.
The 2 year intensive musical theatre course at DTA affords students the opportunity to develop the necessary skills in the three core disciplines of DANCE, ACTING and SINGING in order to be a triple-threat performer.
All classes are taught by highly skilled and qualified teachers with substantial professional performance experience and 'guest' teachers working within the industry are a regular feature of our timetable.

The qualifications offered by DIRECTIONS THEATRE ARTS are the Trinity Guildhall ATCL and LTCL Diplomas.
Performance is an integral part of Musical Theatre training and students are offered many opportunitiesto develop their stagecraft during the course.
A large scale musical is produced each year in addition to a veriety of revues ans showcases.
Students also have the opportunity to perform in road-shows, charity events and after dinner concerts.
